On September 26th, the IVEJM Institute, together with its partners, organized the event "Invest Paraguay: Exploring New Partnerships," held at the Smelt building in the World Trade Center (WTC) in Ljubljana, Slovenia. This commercial meeting, the first exclusively focused on investment in Paraguay, was a resounding success, attracting business representatives, diplomats, and leaders from various sectors to explore new investment opportunities between Paraguay and Slovenia.
The event, marking a milestone in strengthening commercial and cultural ties between Paraguay and Europe, received valuable institutional support from Dr. Juan Francisco Facetti, the Paraguayan Ambassador to Austria.
Welcome Speech
The event began with a welcome address highlighting the central role of the IVEJM Institute in organizing this meeting, while also expressing gratitude to the participants and collaborators. It was emphasized that this meeting is only the beginning of many initiatives aimed at bolstering trade ties between Paraguay and Slovenia. Special thanks were extended to Ambassador Dr. Facetti, as well as to the representatives of the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including Minister Plenipotentiary Ms. Alenka Jerak, and Ms. Anita Stankovic Pavlic, Ms. Irena Gril, and Ms. Katarina Kužnik.
Key Presentations
Ambassador Dr. Juan Francisco Facetti opened the series of presentations, highlighting Paraguay's growing interest in strengthening its relations with Europe. Following this, Mr. Christian Sebastián Cieplik, CEO of the Cieplik Investment Center, presented a range of investment opportunities in Paraguay, focusing on sectors such as agribusiness, renewable energy, and tech startups.
After this, Christian Cieplik, CEO of Santa Margarita, delivered a compelling presentation on the company's high-quality products and his experience leading one of Paraguay’s most renowned businesses. His insights were crucial in showcasing the real potential of Paraguayan industries on the global stage.
Following a break, where attendees enjoyed traditional Paraguayan tea (mate) and cuisine, the networking session allowed participants to establish initial business connections.

The panel on "Entry and Investment in the South American Market" featured prominent Slovenian and Paraguayan business leaders, who shared their experiences and insights on doing business in Latin America. The panelists included:
