On November 12, Asunción witnessed a landmark event that will undoubtedly shape the future of bilateral relations between Slovenia and Paraguay: the official inauguration of the Slovenian–Paraguayan Chamber of Commerce (SLOPAR).Held at Nunciata, the ceremony brought together diplomatic, business, academic, and cultural representatives from both nations, establishing a renewed platform for cooperation that is expected to expand significantly in the years ahead.
This historic milestone was made possible through the joint efforts of the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Argentina (accredited to Paraguay), the SloPar Chamber, and the IVEJM Institute for International Cooperation of Slovenia, whose commitment to intercultural dialogue and institutional collaboration has been essential in making this initiative a reality.

An Evening Filled with Meaning and Vision

One of the most touching moments of the evening was the tribute to the distinguished anthropologist Dr. Branislava Sušnik, whose legacy represents a deep historical connection between Slovenian and Paraguayan culture.
